The Great Plains Dinosaur Museum is offering a one-day experience with advance registration for 5-11 year olds ready for a Dino Adventure. Leading this daily Jr. Paleo Field & Museum Experience is Paleo-Technician Sue Frary. Sue has 30-years experience working in archeology, paleontology and museums. She was a senior technician for the traveling exhibit “Jurassic Park: the Lost World” and for the first reconstruction of argentinosaurus, the World’s largest dinosaur! Her infectious enthusiasm and knack for engaging kids creates a Jr. Paleo Experience any child will treasure!
Here’s how the 1-day Experience Works: From 9 am-Noon, participants will have an outdoor field experience where kids learn fossil discovery and excavation techniques at a dinosaur site about 30 miles from Malta. Participants must be accompanied by an adult or guardian. Transportation to the site is NOT provided. You will meet at GPDM’s back door at 9 am sharp geared for the day. From 1:30 pm-3pm, participants will be at the Museum to explore geology, fossil formation, research and display in an interactive program. Finish with a fun treasure hunt where young paleontologists solve a “Prehistoric Mystery!”
This program needs a minimum of 3 paid participants each day (maximum 6), please call 406-654-5300 or email [email protected] to coordinate dates. Additional details and participant check list are available on GPDM’s website, https://greatplainsdinosaurs.org.
