Join MSU alumnus and current exhibit technician Michael Serio for Digital Dinosaurs: The Current Frontier Propelling Paleontology Into The Future as he shares his current work digitizing and 3D printing the MOR paleontology collections. Advancements in surface scanning and 3D printing technologies have opened the door for a new wave of paleontological research and reconstruction. Come see how Michael has been leveraging these technologies and how they’re used to advance the dinosaur research of today and tomorrow! MOR’s Presenting Prehistory: A Paleontology Lecture Series explores recent paleontological findings and current hypotheses as conveyed by scientists who are actively exploring how life on Earth has changed. Discoveries made by paleontologists continue to shed new light on the deep past of the planet and the creatures that arose here. Refreshments will be provided post-lecture during the speaker meet-and-greet. More at https://museumoftherockies.org/calendar/mors-presenting-prehistory-dr-mary-schweitzer
