National Fossil Day Celebration at Makoshika State Park

The Theme of the Day is acting as a paleontologist. Five interactive tables will be set up outside the Visitor Center for participants to explore. You’ll make your own Paleontologist Badge, do a fossilized amber craft, do specimen leaf impressions from Glendive’s Frontier Gateway Museum, make salt dough Fossil molds and delve into a Dino Dig Box with Tom. If the weather is bad, the event will be in the Center’s basement.
