Join us on Monday, November 4th at 5:30 p.m. for a special Night at the Museum with author and paleontologist Kallie Moore!
Kallie Moore is an enthusiastic paleontologist and science communicator. She is the Collections Manager, or ‘Fossil Librarian’, of the paleontology collection at the University of Montana, as well as a content consultant and co-host for the YouTube channel PBS Eons (youtube.com/eons). And like this channel, she is dedicated to the history of life on Earth. Her love of paleontology started from a young age. She even spent her recesses searching for tiny fossils in the gravel on her grade school’s playground. During her career, Kallie has consulted for Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park on renovations to the DINOSAUR ride and hosted a livestream for the newly opened Deep Time Hall at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History in Washington, DC. Her debut children’s book, “Tales of the Prehistoric World” was released in the fall of 2022. And in 2024, Kallie was added as an Executive Producer on “Why Dinosaurs?” a documentary about dinosaurs and the people who love them.
This event is in partnership with Ekalaka Public Schools reading series. Elementary students in Carter County (country schools, homeschool and public school included!) who attend the event will receive a copy of Kallie’s book “Tales of the Prehistoric World.” Teachers who attend the evening program will earn 1 hour of continuing education credit. This event is free and open to the public.
